KELLY STINSON, M.D.
Dr. Kelly Stinson offers collaborative mental health care in a safe and welcoming space. Evaluations are comprehensive, with holistic treatment options offered. These may include medications, insight-oriented psychotherapy, and lifestyle elements. She has advanced training and particular interest in women's mental health care and perinatal care. Additionally, Dr. Stinson has more than ten years of experience helping adults struggling with depression, anxiety, panic, bipolar disorder, psychosis, PTSD, somatoform disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. As a board certified consultation-liaison psychiatrist, she has advanced training treating individual suffering from complex medical illnesses, functional neurological disorders, and those identifying as LGBTQ.
Providing comprehensive psychiatric treatment requires a highly individualized approach. Dr. Stinson does not follow the one-size-fits-all treatment guidelines often dictated by commercial insurance carriers as they may compromise the customized treatment plans that patients deserve. The practice is out-of-network and does not directly accept any insurance. Many collect partial reimbursement from their insurance companies as part of their generous out-of-network benefits or submit for HSA or FSA reimbursement. Given state and federal rules, Dr. Stinson is not able to offer this model of care to those with Medicare or Medicaid.
